KUALA LUMPUR: TANJUNG OFFSHORE BHD []'s unit Tanjung Offshore Services Sdn Bhd has received contract extensions from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd for the provision of three units of offshore support vessels (OSVs) for total charter contract of RM33.5 million.
It said on Thursday, Feb 24 that The contract extensions for the three units of OSVs were for a period of one year, effective March 2011 (1 unit of OSV) and July 2011 (2 units of OSVs) respectively.
Tanjung said contract may be renewed depending on future requirements of Petronas.
"However, in the event the contract is not renewable, Tanjung shall be informed accordingly. The contract with Petronas did not state the number of years that the contract may be renewed, in the event it is renewed," it said.
Tanjung said the contract extensions were expected to contribute positively to its earnings for the financial years ending Dec 31, 2011 and 2012 respectively.
