KUALA LUMPUR: KFC HOLDINGS (M) BHD []'s earnings rose 39% to RM48.69 million from RM35.02 million a year ago, underpinned by its continuing strategy of network expansion and its effective KFC marketing programmes.
It said on Monday, Feb 21 its revenue rose 9.56% to RM683.92 million from RM624.23 million. Earnings per share were 6.14 sen versus 4.42 sen. It proposed dividend of 5.5 sen a share.
For the financial year ended Dec 31, 2010, its net profit rose to RM156.87 million from RM130.40 million while revenue increased 9.8% to RM2.522 billion from RM2.297 billion.
'The KFC restaurants segment registered a 9.5% revenue growth to RM1.88 billion (2009 : RM1.723 billion) while the integrated poultry segment recorded a 10.2% revenue growth to RM533.4 million (2009 : RM484.1 million).
'The group registered a profit before tax of RM221.8 million in the current year as against previous year's RM190.0 million. Current year profit included a net surplus from revaluation of PROPERTIES [] of RM6.7 million,' it said.
