KUALA LUMPUR: EON CAPITAL BHD [] said Datuk Michael Lor Chee Leng has resigned as the group chief executive officer of EON Bank Bhd with immediate effect on Thursday, Feb 24.
EON Cap said on Thursday that Lor's resignation has been accepted by the bank.
'Pending the appointment of a successor, the duties and responsibilities of the Group CEO of the bank will be undertaken by two members of the bank's board of directors, namely Datuk Mohzani Abdul Wahab, Dr Zaha Rina Zahari, and in addition a senior''member of the bank management, Peter Chow Ying Choon,' it said.
Trading in EON Cap's shares was halted with effect from 2.33pm and will resume with effect from 3.33pm.
