KUALA LUMPUR: Some minority shareholders of PLUS EXPRESSWAYS BHD [] ' which is being taken over by a consortium comprising UEM Group Bhd and the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) -- walked out the EGM on Wednesday, Feb 23.
The EGM was to deliberate on the offer from a joint venture between UEM Group and the EPF for the assets and liabilities of the company for RM23 billion or RM4.60 per share.
Chanting 'Illegal EGM', some of these minority shareholders walked out the banquet hall where the EGM was held at PLUS Menara Korporat, Persada PLUS KM15, Lebuhraya Baru Lembah Klang.
These unhappy shareholders said their vote against the resolution and show of hands were ignored by PLUS board.
