#Flash* Company sues Measat for RM1.3bil loss in potential profits

KUALA LUMPUR: Television support equipment provider AV Asia Sdn Bhd has filed a lawsuit against Measat Broadcast Network Systems Sdn Bhd (MBNS) and another company for alleged breach of a mutual non-disclosure agreement, claiming some RM1.3 billion in loss of potential profits.

MBNS owns and operates Astro, Malaysia's only satellite television service which holds exclusive license for direct-to-home transmission in Malaysia until 2017.

MBNS is a wholly-owned subsidiary of ASTRO ALL ASIA NETWORKS PLC [], which was recently de-listed from Bursa Malaysia's Main Board following a successful takeover offer by Astro Holdings Sdn Bhd.
