KUALA LUMPUR: Federal Auto Holdings Bhd has opened the flagship showroom for German tuning specialist brand, ABT, at Glenmarie, Shah Alam.
Federal Auto said on Tuesday, Sept 28 the 12,000 square feet state-of-the-art showroom, which costs more than RM1 million, is fully compliant with ABT's corporate identity.
The ABT flagship showroom, the largest in Asia, stocks the latest body kits and accessories for Audi and Volkswagen cars, especially the popular Golf Mk VI and Scirocco.
It can accommodate up to 10 display cars and is specifically designed to allow customers to view the ABT-tuned cars and a wide selection of accessories.
The Glenmarie showroom is the first ABT showroom to be officially opened by Federal Auto under its unit, Federal Auto Sports Tuning Sdn Bhd (FAST).
'The company will be opening another showroom at Petaling Jaya this year and at least two more, in Penang and Johor Bahru, by end of 2011,' it said.
FAST was appointed the exclusive distributor for ABT products in Malaysia in March 2010.
ABT transforms stock-standard production cars aesthetically and performance wise. Enhancements are focused on six major areas, namely; engine power, aerodynamics, exhaust, suspensions, brakes and sports wheels.
ABT's chip tuning TECHNOLOGY [] significantly boosts engine power without increasing carbon dioxide emissions while offering reduced fuel consumption.
In the Golf GTi Mk VI, ABT is able to upgrade the engine's maximum power output from 210 bhp to 260 bhp and torque from 280 Nm to 360 Nm.
ABT suspension systems are designed to lower the car for sportier looks and improved roadholding.'' The systems can be adjusted for height, rebound and compression to suit the driver's preference.
