FBM KLCI opens in the red

KUALA LUMPUR: The FBM KLCI slipped into the red in early trade on Tuesday, Sept 28 in line with the decline at regional markets following the overnight fall at Wall Street.

At 9.05am, the benchmark index was down 1.22 points to 1,463.49, weighed by losses including at BAT, MISC, Axiata and Gamuda.

BAT was the top loser in early trade and fell 48 sen to RM48; DFZ Capital lost 27 sen to RM3.63, MISC down six sen to RM, Ingress fell 4.5 sen to 87.5 sen while Berjaya Sports Toto, Axiata and Gamuda slipped three sen each to RM4.16, RM4.47 and RM3.86 respectively.

Nestle was the top gainer and added 14 sen to RM41.94. Kulim was up 13 sen to RM3.63, PPB up 10 sen to RM17.10, Proton rose nine sen to RM4.89, Star and Taliworks gained six sen each to RM3.74 and RM1.34 respectively, AMMB up five sen to RM5.79 while Parkson added four sen to RM5.90.
