Nikkei falls after US credit outlook cut

TOKYO: Japan's Nikkei fell on Tuesday after U.S. Stocks dropped as rating agency Standard & Poor's downgraded the country's credit outlook to negative.

The benchmark Nikkei average was down 1.2 percent, or 113.89 points at 9,442.76, while the broader Topix shed 1.0 percent to 827.88.

Analysts said that the Nikkei is expected to trade between 9,400-9,600 on Tuesday. ' Reuters
