KUALA LUMUR: Blue chips rallied in early trade on Thursday, Dec 2, as investors' risk appetite improved following the strong overnight close on Wall Street, with the FBM KLCI nearing again the crucial 1,500 level.
At 9.26am, the FBM KLCI was up 13.12 points to 1,498.54. Turnover was 120.78 million shares valued at RM141.06 million shares done. Gainers thumped losers 322 to 49 while 121 stocks were unchanged.
Nestle climbed 30 sen to RM43.60 in thin trade, BAT added 26 sen to RM44.44 while IJM added 17 sen to RM5.97. PPB and Bursa advanced 16 sen each to RM17.76 and RM7.94 while DiGi and Genting rose 14 sen each to RM24.96 amd RM10.32.
Petronas Gas rose 26 sen to RM11.40 after it secured a proposed liquefied natural gas (LNG) regasification project from its parent, Petroliam Nasional Bhd.
