KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian investors' sentiment has improved in the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2010 as reflected in the ING Investor Dashboard survey where their appetite for risk has perked up.
The quarterly report issued on Tuesday, Oct 19 showed positive growth in the Malaysian investor confidence index, from 141 in the second quarter of this year to 144 in the third quarter.
"Investors expect greater returns due to robust capital market," it said. "Malaysian investors appear to have strengthened their appetite for risk, favouring medium risk/return investment with gradual increase in aggressive investment strategy."
