KUALA LUMPUR: AHMAD ZAKI RESOURCES BHD [] (AZRB) shares dipped on Tuesday, Oct 19 after Sime Engineering Sdn Bhd filed a suit against the company over alleged breaches in the Malaysia-China Hydro joint venture agreement dated June 12, 2002 relating to the Bakun dam.
At 9.25am, AZRB was down one sen to RM1.07 with 748,600 shares done.
AZRB was served with a writ summons and statement of claim dated Oct 12 by Sime Engineering claiming "RM15.24 million for alleged breaches by AZRB of the Malaysia-China Hydro JVA", relating to Bakun hydroelectric project package CW2 ' main civil works.
