KUALA LUMPUR: Handal Resources Bhd's unit Handal Offshore Services Sdn Bhd has received an extension of contract from Talisman Malaysia Ltd to provide crane maintenance contract for PM-3 CAA & PM-305.
Handal said on Tuesday, Oct 19,the contracts would be extended for a further two years commencing from Nov 2, 2010 to Nov 1, 2012.
Chief executive officer and managing director Mallek Rizal Mohsin said the contract was expected to improve the company's earnings for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2010.
Handal is one of two American Petroleum Institute (API) licensed companies operating in Malaysia that manufactures offshore pedestal cranes and is the only company in Malaysia to provide fully integrated offshore crane services to the oil and gas industry.
Mallek said the extension of contract from Talisman Malaysia reflected Handal Resources' proven track record for on-site structural inspections, crane removal and crane reconditioning.
