KUALA LUMPUR: The FBM KLCI opened in positive territory on Tuesday, Sept 21 in line with the gains at key regional markets and the overnight higher closing at Wall Street.
At 9.05am, the benchmark index was up 3.95 points to 1,473.64, lifted by gains including at Sime Darby, CIMB, Maybank and PLUS.
Gainers led losers by 145 to 19, while 81 counters traded unchanged. Volume was 22.23 million shares valued at RM22.56 million.
Among the early gainers, Sime Darby rose four sen to RM8.34, CIMB up two sen to RM8.33, Maybank added one sen to RM8.72 and PLUS up four sen to RM4.19.
Nestle was up 30 sen to RM42, DFZ Capital gained 23 sen to RM3.79, Kulim up 14 sen to RM8.53, KLK added 12 sen to RM17.10, Petronas Gas up 10 sen to RM10.94 while Supermax rose eight sen to RM4.43.
