KUALA LUMPUR: YTL CORPORATION BHD []'s net profit for the fourth quarter ended June 30, 2010 surged to RM118.25 million from RM47.32 million a year ago on the back of a 30.4% jump in revenue to RM4.62 billion.
Earnings per share was 6.59 sen.
In a filing to Bursa Malaysia on Thursday, Aug 19, YTL Corp said the higher revenue was mainly due to the consolidation of YTL Power's wholly owned subsidiary, PowerSeraya Ltd and its subsidiaries.
For the financial year ended June 30, YTL's net profit rose to RM872.56 million on the back of RM16.41 billion revenue.
The company proposed a first and final gross dividend of ten sen per share.
