FBM KLCI extends gains in early trade

KUALA LUMPUR: The FBM KLCI extended its gains on Tuesday, Aug 17 and was up 4.12 points to 1,374.70 at 9.05am, with gains including at Genting, AMMB and BAT.

Gainers led losers by 103 to 39, while 100 counters traded unchanged. Volume was 32.81 million shares valued at RM31.04 million.

Goldis was the top gainer in early trade, rising 20 sen to RM1.50. Ta Ann added 19 sen to RM5.70, AMMB up 13 sen to RM5.38, while Kulim and Genting rose nine sen each to RM8.44 and RM8.81 respectively.

BAT was up eight sen to RM44.28. Mamee, Keck Seng, Evergreen and SEG, meanwhile, rose seven sen each to RM3.68. RM5.86, RM1.62 and RM2.77 respectively.

Petronas Dagangan was the top loser in early trade, falling 16 sen to RM10.04. Other decliners included MAS, Batu Kawan and PPB.
