Chinese shoemakers in limelight

KUALA LUMPUR: Chinese shoemakers rose in active trade on Wednesday, Aug 11, bucking the weaker overall market, as they start to attract investors' attention as they look for value play.

At 3.09pm, K-Star is the top gainer among these counters, up eight sen to RM2.15.

Multi Sport Holdings Bhd is the most active with 28.4 million shares done, up four sen to 54 sen. Xideland Holdings Bhd inched up one sen to 46.5 sen.

The FBM KLCI fell 5.3 points to 1,354.41. Turnover was 439 million shares valued at RM587 million.
