KUALA LUMPUR: MALAYSIAN AIRLINE SYSTEM BHD [] shares rose on Wednesday, June 22 after the carrier exercised an option to purchase 10 additional Next-Generation 737-800s.
At 9.20am, MAS added two sen to RM1.44 with 37,500 shares traded.
The new Next-Generation 737-800s planes are valued at more than US$800 million.
The additional planes were part of an option under the original deal signed with Boeing in 2008
