KUALA LUMPUR: Online unit trust platform Fundsupermart Malaysia (FSM) had on Wednesday, June 22 launched its mobile applications, initially for iPhones, which would enable users to keep tap on funds and markets' performance.
The users can retrieve the updated market and fund analyses and news and also track the performances of over 160 funds in 15 countries.
Its managing director Dennis Tan said the FSM Mobile app would enable users to check earnings growth and price earnings ratio of equity markets.
Speaking at the launch of the app, Tan said the users could also track the fixed income funds and also their historical performances.
The app also has a portfolio simulator where users can customise their own portfolio, based on the various markets' indices and also view how the diversification in different asset classes and sectors work.
Tan said mobile devices have enabled users to manage their investments on the go. 'Everyone needs information at their fingertips to make investment decisions and our apps lets people stay in touch with the information anytime, anywhere,' he added.
The app would also allow users to access features including ideas of the week provided by the Fundsupermarket team who will provide fresh investment ideas weekly.
Apart from the app, FSM has released its own indices which include the all equity, all bond indices and the Asia ex-Japan equity and Malaysia bond indices. These indices will track the performance of actively managed equity and bond funds on seven different sectors.
