SHAH ALAM: S P Setia Bhd plans to build more medium cost apartments in the future to benefit from the government's 'my first home scheme', said its president and CEO Tan Sri Liew Kee Sin.
Although the group is recognised as a luxury, high-end property developers, it always comply with government regulations to allocate 40% of its developments for low-cost to medium-cost PROPERTIES [], he said.
''At S P Setia, we do everything from low-cost, low-medium cost, and medium cost, which mostly comprises of apartments to comply with the housing and local government ministry's requirement,'' Liew said the launch of the 'Setia Apps', a smartphone application by S P Setia.
He said that the company is looking at launching at least another 300 units of medium-cost apartments in the Setia Alam township, within the next six month.
Liew said that the group will upgrade the design and model for its medium-cost developments, as buyers now were more spoilt with choices and the group would like to maintain its advantage edge in property developments.
