KUALA LUMPUR: The FBM KLCI kicked-off September on a positive note and was up 8.52 points to 1,431.01 at 9.05am on Wednesday, Sept 1. Lifted by gains including at Maybank, CIMB and AMMB.
Gainers led losers by 103 to 60, while 72 counters traded unchanged. Volume was 32.76 million shares valued at RM48.72 million.
Among the early gainers, APM Automotive was up 15 sen to RM4.55, GUINNESS ANCHOR BHD [], Petronas Gas, PLUS, Kulim and KFCH added 10 sen each to RM8.20, RM10.60, RM4.30 and RM10.90, respectively; YTL Corp, AMMB and Maybank rose nine sen each to RM7.45, RM5.75 and RM8.48, respectively while CIMB was up three sen to RM7.83.
The top loser in early trade was Nestle that fell 18 sen to RM39.80; Swee Joo lost 13.5 sen to 22.5 sen, SP Setia down 10 sen to RM4.23 while Puncak Niaga, Lafarge Malayan Cement and PPB Group fell eight sen each to RM2.80, RM7.40 and RM17, respectively.
