Thai floods dampen affected M'sian companies

KUALA LUMPUR: The shares on NOTION VTEC BHD [], ENG TEKNOLOGI HOLDINGS BHD [] and Fraser & Neave Holdings Bhd retreated on Wednesday, Oct 12 after the companies yesterday announced temporary closures of their respective facilities due the floods in Thailand.

At 11.30am, Notion and Eng Teknologi fell three sen each to RM1.53 and RM1.97, while F&N shed two sen to RM16.20.

The three companies in separate filings to Bursa Malaysia Securities on Oct 11 had said that the flood in Thailand had forced the halt of their operations.

However, the extent of the damage is yet to be ascertained, they said.
