KLCI slips in early trade, blue chips weigh

KUALA LUMPUR: The FBM KLCI slipped in early trade on Monday, Oct 10, weighed by losses at key blue chips, including PLANTATION []s.

At 9.05am, the FBM KLCI fell 4.97 points to 1,395.08.

Gainers edged losers by 57 to 56, while 70 counters traded unchanged. Volume was 20.78 million shares valued at RM11.94 million.

Among the decliners, KLK fell 32 sen to RM20.30, Sime Darby 16 sen to RM8.36, Lafarge Malayan Cement 13 sen to RM6.75, Petronas Dagangan 11 sen to RM16, Maybank, IOI Corp, Century Software and Tenaga fell five sen each to RM8.13, RM4.77, 40 sen and RM5.33 respectively, while Bursa lost four sen to RM6.04.
