Bina Puri's order book grows to RM2.73b with new RM20.4m job

KUALA LUMPUR: BINA PURI HOLDINGS BHD []'s current unbuilt order book grew to RM2.73 billion to date after its unit secured a RM20.4 million from the Jabatan Perumahan Negara for a housing project in Dengkil.

In a statement Monday, Oct 10, Bina Puri said its wholly owned unit Puri CONSTRUCTION [] Sdn Bhd has accepted the letter of award for the Taman Topaz project.

The duration of the construction period is 14 months, it said.

The contract was expected to contribute positively to its for the financial year ending Dec 31,'' 2012, it said.

Bina Puri said that in 2011, it has managed to secure new projects worth up to about RM989.41 million as at to date.

Its group managing director Tan Sri Datuk Tee Hock Seng said the company had secured new projects worth over RM1 billion this year, which was consistent with its performance over the last few years.

'Moving forward, we are confident that our clients will be assured of our ability to deliver quality and timely projects.

'Additionally, we are optimistic that the construction sector will benefit from the new allocations recently announced under the Budget 2012 coupled with the spillover effects from the Economic Transformation Programme,' he said.
