KUALA LUMPUR: ZHULIAN CORPORATION BHD [] net profit for the second quarter ended May 31, 2011 rose 16.64% to RM21.01 million from RM18.01 million a year earlier, due mainly to increase in demands for both local and overseas markets.
It said on Wednesday, July 13 that revenue for the period rose to RM92.69 million from RM77.92 million in 2010. Earnings per share was 4.57 sen, while net assets per share was 79.7 sen.
Zhulian declared a second interim single tier dividend of three sen per share of 50 sen each in respect of the financial year ending Nov 30, 2011.
For the six months ended May 31, Zhulian's net profit rose marginally to RM42.99 million from RM42.94 million a year earlier, while revenue increased to RM178.91 million from RM164.25 million.
On its prospects, the company said it expects its performance for 2011 to be satisfactory.
