KUALA LUMPUR: Former chief executive officer of BURSA MALAYSIA BHD [], Datuk Yusli Mohamed Yusoff has been appointed as an independent and non executive director of MUDAJAYA GROUP BHD [].
His appointment takes effect from Wednesday, July 13, according to a Mudajaya statement.
Yusli had served as CEO of several public listed and private companies in Malaysia and the most recent was the CEO of Bursa Malaysia from February 2004 to March 2011.
The company also announced the appointment of David George Savage as an independent and non-executive director with effect from Wednesday also.
Savage held senior executive roles in the CONSTRUCTION [] industry in Asia for more than 25 years.
He joined Leighton Group in 1998 as director and general manager of Leighton Contractors (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. In this role, he oversaw the development of the Malaysian operation into Leighton Asia's key revenue earners.
