KUALA LUMPUR: PLANTATION [] stocks were among the major loses in afternoon trade on Thursday, July 14 on the bearish outlook for crude palm oil prices in the second half of 2011.
At 3.40pm, the FBM KLCI fell 2.48 points to 1,578.19. Turnover was 510.47 million shares valued at RM849.56 million. Losers beat gainers 468 to 199.
CPO third month futures rose RM30 to RM3,121.
KL Kepong fell 24 sen to RM21.86, BLD Plantations 21 sen to RM6.41, United Plantations 18 sen to RM20.92, Far East 15 sen to RM7.10 while PPB shed 14 sen to RM17.32 and Sarawak Plantations 12 sen to RM2.29.
