KUALA LUMPUR: ASTRAL SUPREME BHD [] has seen the emergence of a substantial shareholder in Ong Tai Chin who had acquired 5.248 million shares or a 13% stake.
A filing with Bursa Malaysia on July 14 showed Ong acquired the shares in the open market up to July 8.
The company's paid-up is 45 million shares.
As at March 31, 2011, A1 Capital Sdn Bhd was the largest shareholder at 19.81% or 8.912 million shares while Lembaga Tabung Haji owned 6.641 million shares or 14.76%.
Astral Supreme manufactures and exports electronic toys, electronic musical instruments, telecommunications and security products and printed circuit boards.
