KUALA LUMPUR: SIG Gases Bhd has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Japan-based Iwatani Corporation Bhd (IC) to establish a partnership to set up a helium refilling plant in Southern Industrial Gas plant in Senai, Johor.
In a statement Tuesday, June 28, SIG Gases said its wholly owned unit Southern Industrial Gas Sdn Bhd had inked the MoU with IC, whose principal activities are to distribute gas and gas related products.
SIG Gases said IC carries out its principal activities via its Energy, Industrial Gases, Materials/Electronics and Others divisions.
'The rationale for the MOU is for Southern Industrial Gas to establish the helium gas business in Malaysia with IC's expertise and TECHNOLOGY [],' it said.
