WCT sees property sales rising to RM300m this year

KUALA LUMPUT: WCT BHD [] expects to sell more PROPERTIES [] this year and estimates sales around RM300 million compared with RM220 million a year ago.

Its chairman Datuk Ahmad Sufian said''on Wednesday, May 18 the company was looking to expand its investment real estate portfolio in Vietnam to boost its recurrent income base.

WCT, with its portfolio of retail malls and a hotel in Malaysia, hoped to capitalise on the resilience of the retail and hospitality industry, he said after its AGM in Klang.

On whether it was looking into a real estate investment trust , he replied: "It's still too early to decide.'
