TOKYO: Shares of Tokyo Electric Power plunged to a record low of 376 yen on Tuesday, April 5 on uncertainty over the safety crisis at its crippled nuclear power plant.
The March 11 earthquake and tsunami in northeast Japan knocked out more than 20 percent of Tokyo Electric's power generating capacity, including the Fukushima Daiichi complex which continues to leak radiation.
