KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's exports totalled RM51.85 billion in February, 2011, which was a 10.7% increase from a year ago but it declined 5.5% from January.
The Minister of International Trade and Industry Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed said on Tuesday, April 5 that imports expanded by 11.5% to RM39.21 billion.
Compared with January 2011, exports in February 2011 decreased by 5.5% while imports contracted by 12.6% and total trade declined by 8.7%.
Total trade was RM91.06 billion, up 11.0% from a year ago. The country recorded a trade surplus of RM12.64 billion, making it the 160th consecutive month of trade surplus since November 1997.
