KUALA LUMPUR: Shares of MAA HOLDINGS BHD [] fell below RM1 on Tuesday, April 5 as investors were disappointed over the absence of fresh corporate developments.
At 2.48pm, MAA was down 5.5 sen to 99.5 sen with 30.12 million shares done.
The FBM KLCI lost 2.44 points to 1,553.04. Turnover was 938.78 million shares valued at RM1.03 billion. There were 293 gainers, 427 losers and 275 stocks unchanged.
MAA said it still in talks with Zurich Insurance Company Ltd over the possible acquisition of its unit Malaysian Assurance Alliance Bhd and would make the necessary announcements in due course on further developments.
