KUALA LUMPUR: Berjaya Food Bhd's initial public offer of seven million shares at 51 sen each to the public was oversubscribed by 14.48 times.
The company said on Tuesday, March 1 that its listing exercise involved an offer for sale of 35.80 million shares.
Of the seven million shares offered to the public, there were 4,942 applications for 109.4 million shares with a total value of RM55.8 million.
Another 23.9 million shares made available for private placement and 4.9 million shares for subscription by eligible directors, employees and business associates of the Berjaya Food were fully subscribed.
The Berjaya Food group holds the exclusive franchise right for the development and operation of the Kenny Rogers Roasters chain of restaurants in Malaysia.
Since the opening of its first KRR restaurant in 1994, it owns 52 restaurants throughout Malaysia.
