KUALA LUMPUR: The FBM KLCI rose in the afternoon session on Monday, Feb 28 aided by gains in BAT, DiGi and Petronas Dagangan but the broader market was cautious, with decliners beating advancers more than three to one.
At 3.45pm, the KLCI was up 2.51 points to 1,491.78. Turnover was 833.74 million shares valued at RM1.32 billion. There were 608 losers 194 gainers and 213 stocks unchanged.
BAT was the top gainer, up RM1.12 to RM47.92, DiGi 88 sen to RM26.68, Petronas Dagangan 50 sen to RM13.64 while Telekom Malaysia advanced 11 sen to RM3.96.
Dutch Lady fell 50 sen to RM15.40, MTD and Batu Kawan 30 sen each to RM11 and RM15.20, Proton 23 sen to RM3.86 while Kulim shed 18 sen to RM3.50 and AZRB 15.5 sen to 85.5 sen.
