Hiap Teck expects work on RM750m blast furnace to start 2H 2011

KUALA LUMPUR: HIAP TECK VENTURE BHD [] expects work on RM750 million blast furnace in Terenggau to start in the second half of 2011.

Its executive director Low Choong Sing said the company was working out the financing details and should be able to finalise in the first half of 2011.

On the outlook its hot rolled coils raw materials, he expected to prices to remain stable.

He also expected the company to benefit from the Economic Transformation Programme infrastructure projects which required their products.
