KUALA LUMPUR: The securities of UNISEM (M) BHD [] advanced in morning trade on Wednesday, Nov 3 after its earnings doubled in the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2010 but cautioned about a moderate decline in the fourth quarter.
At 9.27am, Unisem was up 11 sen to RM1.94 with 2.05 million shares done. Unisem-WA rose 4.5 sen to 56.5 sen and Unisem-CA 0.5 sen higher at 6.5 sen in active trade.
The FBM KLCI rose 1.8 points to 1,508.37. Turnover was 176.87 million shares valued at RM120.96 million. There were 225 gainers, 80 losers and 173 stocks unchanged.
Unisem's earnings doubled to RM51.53 million in the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2010 (3Q10) from RM25.83 million a year ago. However, it cautioned about a moderate decline in 4Q due to inventory adjustment in the industry.
Revenue climbed 30.7% to RM370.69 million from RM283.52 million. Earnings per share were 7.64 sen versus 4.21 sen. It declared a dividend of 3.0 sen per share.
