KUALA LUMPUR: TANJUNG OFFSHORE BHD [] shares slipped in early trade on Monday, Oct 11 after its unit Tanjung Kapal Services Sdn Bhd was served with a notice of claim from Newfield Peninsula Malaysia Inc amounting to US$15.90 million (RM49.13 million).
At 9.15am, Tanjung was down four sen to RM1.82 with 592,900 shares traded.
The notice of claim was for damages to pipeline allegedly caused by one of Tanjung Kapal's vessels at the East Belumut Field, PM 323, offshore Malaysia.
