KUALA LUMPUR: The FBM KLCI started the week on a high note, lifted by gains including at Genting, Public Bank and CIMB.
At 9.05am, the 30-stock index was up 7.10 points to 1,488.51, a fresh high. Gainers beat losers by 165 to 23, while 95 counters traded unchanged. Volume was 43.13 million shares valued at RM43.72 million.
Among the early gainers, Genting added 16 sen to RM10.42, United Malacca rose 10 sen to RM10.80, Public Bank, KPJ and WCT rose eight sen each to RM12.66, RM3.74 and RM3.28, respectively, Mudajaya was up seven sen to RM4.46 while MBSB and CIMB were up six each to RM1.58 and RM8.32.
Among the decliners were Mamee, YTL'' e-Solutions, Tanjung Offshore, Berjaya Sports Toto, Bina Puri and MAS.
