KUALA LUMPUR: The FBM KLCI slipped below the key 1,300 level in late afternoon on Monday, July 5, weighed down by losses in heavyweights including Sime Dary.
At 4pm, the FBM KLCI is down 7.55 points to 1,299.89. Turnover is 344 million shares valued at RM525 million.
The major losers were Sime Darby, down 19 sen to RM7.59, the lowest since May 26. Proton is down 18 sen to RM4.39.
BAT was the top loser, down 70 sen to RM43.50 while HLFG lost 16 sen to RM8.14.
LAFARGE MALAYAN CEMENT BHD [] (LMC) lost 11 sen to RM6.49 after Lafarge SA, the single largest shareholder of LMC, said it was'' looking to dispose of up to 11.2% in the latter. GENTING BHD [] fell 11 sen to RM7.14.
