KUALA LUMPUR: K-Star Sports Ltd, a Malaysia-listed China footwear company, achieved a 13.5% year-on-year increase in order book to 202 million yuan (RM98.45 million) for its proprietary Dixing-brand products at the recently concluded autumn/winter 2010 Sales Fair.
In a statement on Monday, June 7, K-Star executive chairman and CEO Ding Jianping said the significant increase in sales orders was due to the rapidly growing brand acceptance of Dixing.
"We are also receiving optimistic responses to the soft launch of our new apparel line at selected retail outlets early this year and the company is looking at a very positive year," he said, adding that it organised at least two major sales fairs each year, usually in May and October.
