KUALA LUMPUR: AFFIN HOLDINGS BHD []'s plan to acquire EON CAPITAL BHD [] had been rejected, clearing the path for HONG LEONG BANK BHD [] to undertake its acquisition.
Affin Holdings said on Monday, June 7 that "Bank Negara Malaysia is unable to consider our application to seek the approval of BNM to commence negotiation with EON Cap and its major shareholders".
