KUALA LUMPUR: AFFIN HOLDINGS BHD [] share price declined in early trade on Tuesday, June 8 after its plan to acquire EON CAPITAL BHD [] was rejected by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM).
At 9.28am, Affin fell five sen to RM2.94 with 79,500 shares done.
Affin Holdings said on Monday "Bank Negara Malaysia is unable to consider our application to seek the approval of BNM to commence negotiation with EON Cap and its major shareholders".
Meanwhile, EON Capital fell 15 sen to RM7.05 with 3,000 shares done at 9.28am.
At 9.28am, Affin fell five sen to RM2.94 with 79,500 shares done.
