Seoul shares open lower, telecom issues weigh

SEOUL (Dec 28): Seoul shares opened lower on Wednesday but downside was seen limited by positive U.S. data and after speculation-led losses on Tuesday.

Early falls were led by telecommunication issues with SK Telecom tumbling 5.96 percent and KT Corp dropping 5.31 percent.

The Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) was down 0.86 percent as of 0005 GMT. - Reuters
