KUALA LUMPUR: UZMA BHD []'s unit Uzma Engineering Sdn Bhd (UESB) has secured a contract from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd to provide marine 2D and 3D seismic data acquisition services (umbrella contract).
In said on Tuesday, Sept 20 that UESB had received an approval from Carigali on Sept 14 to announce the contract.
It said the umbrella contract period would be effective from Aug 18, 2011 and continue for a primary period of three years with an extension option of two years.
The umbrella contract does not constitute a commitment for any specific work, it said.
Uzma said the umbrella contract was expected to contribute positively to its earnings for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2011 and future years.
