KUALA LUMPUR: OSK Research said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak's announcement of major legal reform thereby increasing civil liberties is a bold move for the long term good of the country.
In its outlook report issued on Monday, Sept 19, it said the market could however react both ways with optimism for Malaysia's future balanced by profit taking ahead of an imminent General Election.
'In any case, the recent global rally in equity markets should see some trading opportunities in the short term.
'While we recognise that there is now twice as much upside to our potential market top (1,533) as compared to downside to our potential market bottom (1,378), we would still not advocate an aggressive bottom fishing strategy but remain Neutral on the market,' it said.
