#Update* Kulim to acquire remaining 25% of Sindora

KUALA LUMPUR: Kulim (Malaysia) Bhd, which owns 74.99% of SINDORA BHD [], plans to acquire the remaining 25.01% of Sindora Bhd.

Trading in the securities of both companies has been suspended since 2.30pm on Monday, Aug 15 until'' 5pm on Tuesday.

"The request for suspension is made in view of proposed acquisition of the remaining shares in Sindora, a subsidiary of the Company," Kulim said.

At the midday break, Sindora had hit limit-up, surging to 60 sen or 30% to RM2.65 with 270,200 shares done. The price surge prompted a query from Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd.

Kulim was down three sen to RM3.66 before trading was suspended.
