Rebound fizzling out, Tenaga weighs

KUALA LUMPUR:'' The rebound of the FBM KLCI fizzled out in late afternoon on Tuesday, Aug 16, with the 30-stock index in the red, weighed down by heavyweight Tenaga Nasional.

At 3.36pm, the KLCI was down 1.32 points to 1,498.42. Turnover was 1.0 billion shares valued at RM1.36 billion. There were 392 gainers, 348 losers and 285 stocks unchanged.

Tenaga fell 14 sen to RM5.89 with 2.16 million shares done.'' Two other components of the KLCI also fell, with BAT, the top loser, down 46 sen to Rm43.66 with 31,500 shares transacted while Petronas Dagangan lost 16 sen tp RM17.34 with 101,300 units done.
