KUALA LUMPUR: MALAYSIAN RESOURCES CORP [] Bhd (MRCB) has secured a RM1.33 billion contract from Syarikat Prasarana Negara Bhd (SPNB) for the Ampang light rail transit line extension.
MRCB said on Tuesday, Aug 16 that the contract awarded to its unit MRCB Engineering Sdn Bhd was for the CONSTRUCTION [] and completion of facilities works including fabrication and delivery of segmental box girders (Package B).
'The lump sum contract worth about RM1.33 billion is for a construction period of 30 months from the date of possession of site,' it said.
MRCB also said SPNB has awarded MRCB Engineering the sub-contract for the fabrication and delivery of segmental box girders (Package B) for the Kelana Jaya line extension project.
MESB is a nominated sub-contractor to Sunway Construction Sdn Bhd for the sub-contract worth RM67.2 million.'' The construction period for the works is 20 months.
