KUALA LUMPUR: SAAG CONSOLIDATED (M) BHD [] were actively traded on Tuesday, July 19 after it secured an RM26 million contract in India from Lanco Infratech Ltd to supply parts and build a boiler unit for the 2 x 660 MW Lanco Vidarbha Thermal Power Project in Maharashtra.
At 9.40am, SAAG added half a sen to 7 sen with 2.2 million shares traded.
In a filing Monday, July 18, SAAG said its unit TPS Builders Limited had received a letter of acceptance dated July 14 for the erection, testing and commissioning of boiler ducting, rotary parts, Mills RC feeders, ESP with duct support structure and Coal piping for Boiler Unit #1&2 (Part-B) at the plant.
It said the project was expected to commence on Oct 1, 2011 and that the contract period was for 24 months from the commencement date.
'The project is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of SAAG group in the year 2012,' it said.
