KUALA LUMPUR: TELEKOM MALAYSIA BHD [] has extended OPCOM HOLDINGS BHD []'s contract by another two years for the provision of fibre to the home (FTTH) system.
Opcom said on Monday, May 23 that its subsidiary Opcom Cables Sdn Bhd had signed a variation order to the contract, which was signed on April 22, 2009, for the supply and support services of the passive FTTH system. The contract then was for RM359 million.
It said that on Monday, Opcom Cables had signed a variation order to the contract whereby TM extended the contract by another two years from April 20, 2011 to April 19, 2013.
'The contract value remains unchanged. The variation order is expected to contribute positively towards Opcom's group earnings and net assets for the period of the variation order,' it said.
